Rick was born in Toledo to Robert and Betty Hendee. He graduated from Whitmer High School and attended the University of Toledo.

Rick was a former owner of Telegraph Brake Service in Toledo. He had a passion for softball and played on many teams in Ohio and Florida. Rick was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying Ohio State and NASCAR.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kimberly Hendee, his daughter Michelle (Theron Toney), granddaughter Mya, sister-in-law Brenda Bennett (Phillip), and nephews Christopher, Matthew, and Ryan Bennett. He was a treasured friend to many and always found good qualities in everyone he met.

A visitation will be held at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit Street, Toledo on Saturday, May 21 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with graveside services following at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

A visitation was also held at Aycock Funeral Home, Young & Prill Chapel, Stuart, FL.
