Doris Jessie Tyson Powell (nee) Day 90, was carried away by God's Angels into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ and now resides with Him in God's Heaven. She was met by her late husband Daniel L. Powell, by her 10 siblings, her parents, Aunts, Uncles, and very many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends, relatives and acquaintances. She was also met by her 3 deceased children, Baby Girl Tyson, Steven James Tyson, and Louis Edward Tyson (Shelise). She is survived by her daughter, Aleta Marie Fisher (nee Tyson), son-in-law Michael Fisher, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two stepchildren, six step grandchildren. Doris graduated from the Akron School of Practical Nursing in 1974, and enjoyed her vocation until 1999. She retired to care for her ill husband Daniel L. Powell, who preceded her to God's hand. She was also a landlady in Akron and Barberton for 35 years.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Any Donations may be made to the Haven of Rest. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason. (330) 535-9186
