Mrs. Mildred Jean Elliston, 85, of Richmond, the widow of James Ray Elliston, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. Mildred was born on September 23, 1936, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late William Grover and Anne Freeman Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of The Linden Street Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Lisa Elliston, three grandchildren: Jamie Webb, Jenie Webb and Keeley Ridner (Matt); seven great-grandchildren: Matthew Jones, Raylee Webb, Ethan Grant, Eli Grant, Keyonna Ross, Lincoln Gray and Walker Ridner. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: William Smith, Bobby Smith and James Smith and a sister: Ruby Dennis. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Elliston will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
