Rosemarie L. Peñaflorida , 61 years young, of Clifton died on May 16, 2022. Born in Lambunao, Philippines to Jesus and Dolores (Par) Latumbo, she immigrated to the United States in 1986 and settled in Passaic before moving to Clifton in 2013. Rosemarie was a registered nurse who worked at Passaic General Hospital (now St. Mary’s) and was a housewife thereafter, spending time caring for her family and two dogs. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Passaic. Rosemarie was the lighthouse of the family, guiding her husband and children by her faith in God and upholding values such as respect, honor, hard work, and kindness. Apart from caring for her family, she enjoyed gardening, eating at restaurants, getting her nails done, traveling, shopping, and watching Filipino TV shows, news, and movies. She had a strong faith in Jesus and practiced her Catholicism everyday through prayer and active involvement in church activities. Rosemarie is survived by her husband Beato Peñaflorida and two daughters, Kathleen Rose & Bea Marie Peñaflorida all of Clifton; by two sisters, Rizalinda Altura of Clifton and Gina Yalung of Virginia Beach, VA; by two brothers, Luis Latumbo of Clifton and Honesto Latumbo of Jersey City; and by two dogs, Boo and Cocoa. Viewing will be held on Thursday 4-8PM at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Funeral Road, Clifton, NJ 07012. Mass 10AM Friday at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Passaic. Burial will be held at Cresthaven Memorial Park in Clifton following the Mass with a repasse to conclude the day. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony of Padua RC Church would be greatly appreciated.
