<p>Port Barre– A Funeral Service will be held for Ella Marie Dowling Richard on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Pastor, Benji Richard will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time of service in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre.</p> <p>Ella, age 69, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 16, 2022, at her residence in Opelousas surrounded by her family.</p> <p>Ella enjoyed dog grooming, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, shopping at Walmart spending time with her family and always being there for her kids and grandkids.</p> <p>Ella is survived by her husband, Donald Richard, her mother Barbara Ann Dowling, her sons, Robert Richard (Terri ), of Livingston, Ronald Richard (Stacey) of Port Barre, daughters Tammy Rinaldi, and Katy Fruge (Joey) of Opelousas, brothers, Gary Dowling (Joyce) and Brain Dowling (Linda), sisters, Claire Greene, Sherry Rice (Moe), Marsha Ritcher, Tanya Frink (Frank), and Crystal Asher (Robert), grandchildren, Robyn Andrus (Rocky), Derek Richard (McKenzie), Megan Comeaux, (Casey), Amber Morvant (Dylan), Seth Fruge, Landon Fruge, Jeremy Harper (Brooke), Michael Guarnieri, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Bentley, Braxton, Jace, Emerson, Abelynn, Maiven, Jaxon, Blake, Evariste, several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Ella is preceded in death by her father, Robert John Dowling, Sr., father-in-law, Leo Richard, Sr. and mother-in-law, Jesslyn Richard, maternal grandparents, Marian Mar Shartrand, Leo Henry Shartrand, Paternal grandparents, Anna Lillian Dowling, Gustave Dowling, brother, Robert Dowling, Jr.</p> <p>Pallbearers, Derek Richard, Rocky Andrus, Seth Fruge, Landon Fruge, Dylan Morvant and Jeremy Harper.</p> <p>Special thanks to Hope Hospice for the care of Ella.</p> <p>Words of Comfort for the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com.
