Keith Edward Young, 51, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:29 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Keith was born July 5, 1970, in Madison. He was the son of Betty (Willhite) Young and the late Edward Young.

Keith worked as a painter for Erler’s Industries and as a cleaner for GT Industries, both in North Vernon.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going mushroom and ginseng hunting.

Survivors include his sons, Derek Lee Young of Madison, and Seth Young and Keith Young Jr., both of North Vernon; daughter, Shyann Young of North Vernon; mother, Betty Young of North Vernon; brother, Darren (Mary) Young of North Vernon; half-brother, Randy Calvert of Columbus; grandchildren, Braylen and Grayson Clark, both of North Vernon; and ex-wife, Dianna Pedigo of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, James Keith Young.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Rudicel Family Event Center, 408 South State Street, North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Rudicel Family Event Center. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Keith through the funeral home for expenses.
