Herbert Lee Lindsey

Herbert Lee Lindsey, 95, of Hinton, WV, formerly of Rainelle, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. He was born April 15, 1927 on Big Sewell Mountain, Fayette County, WV a son of the late Dave C. and Mamie Hamrick Lindsey. Herbert was a member of Big Sewell Baptist Church, Rainelle VFW and Moose Lodge, and was a retired machinist and foreman from Sewell Coal Company at Nettie, WV. He was a WWII and Korean Army Air Force Veteran where he was an aircraft machinist with the Parker & Hannifin Company for eleven and a half years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kolin Lee Lindsey; a sister, Lucille Lindsey Wade and brothers, Dave and Frank Lindsey. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa D. Lindsey, a brother, Albert Lindsey and several grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
