Melissa Faye Hicks

Melissa Faye Hicks, 57, of Cleveland, TN passed away on May 15, 2022. She was born on February 9, 1965 to the late Henry and Wilma Hawkins. Melissa was a lifelong resident of this area and she was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. Melissa worked as an office manager in the medical field for 28 years. She was friendly and easy going and could get along with anyone. Above all, Melissa loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her father in law Charles Hicks. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 39 years, Danny Hicks; daughters: Alisha Hicks and Ashley Beck (Lynn); grandchildren: Clay Beck, Levi Beck, Josee Beck, Khloe Johnson, and Raye McDaniel; siblings: Myron Hawkins (Donna), and Melanie McClure; sisters in law Rita Cox (David) and Connie Dills (Willie); mother in law Bernice Hicks; nieces and nephew: Buffy Dills, Whitney Cox (Vickie), Audrey Trentham, Matthew Hawkins (Courtney), and Katherine Peacock (Josh). In addition to these she leaves behind numerous great nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends as well as a very special lifelong childhood friend Diane Tatum. Melissa’s family will receive friends from 6pm-9pm on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at Union Missionary Baptist Church on Hughes Lake Road. A celebration of her life will be held at 11am on Thursday May 19th at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
