Joan H. Abitante, 89, of Roselle entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden, on Thursday, May 19 from 4 - 8 pm. The Funeral begins at the Funeral Home on Friday at 9:00 am, thence to the Church of St. Joseph the Carpenter, Roselle, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. She was a member of the Union County Status of Women, the Roselle Senior Citizens and the Tony Amalfe Civic Association. She was also a Volunteer for Pop Warner and the St. Joseph Boys League. Joan enjoyed traveling and baking for the holidays. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph J. Abitante, Jr. and her sister Jean Braswell. She is survived by her devoted sons, Joseph J. Abitante III and Andrew M. Abitante; her cherished granddaughters, Erica and Gina and her brother Martin Christian.
