It is with great sadness that the family of Madeline Irene (Adams) Bordage, loving wife of 54 years to the late Lionel Albeni, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Shannex Embassy Hall in Quispamsis, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on March 8, 1930, Madeline was a daughter of the late George and Gladys (Best) Adams.

Madeline was a devoted Catholic and was a proud member of Stella Maris Catholic Church. She served as a member of the CWL and Knights of Columbus #6595 Ladies Auxiliary. Madeline found great pleasure in listening to classic country music, colouring, playing bingo and bowling.

She is remembered by her children; Lionel (Marlene), Linda Kaizer, Donna Bordage and Pamela Bordage. Also left to mourn are her brothers; Harry, Leslie (Helen), Nelson (Nancy) and Frank along with her sisters in-law; Ina Adams and Myrna Adams, 4 grandchildren; Danielle (Ian), Anthony (Melissa), Brian (Tracy) and Adam, 5 great grandchildren; Isabel, Emily, Isaac, Ethan and Neil.

In addition to her parents, Madeline is predeceased by her brothers; Gordon, George, Murray, Ronald and Douglas, sisters; Gladys Knox, Mary Sistilli, Elsie Kenny and Paulette Adams, son in-law Charles Kaizer, brother’s in-law; William Knox and Anthony Sistilli, sisters in-law; Helen Adams, Viola Adams, Jean Adams and Betty Adams.

Our family wishes to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff of Shannex Embassy Hall for the care and compassion shown towards Madeline during the last few months.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 between 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 12 noon from Stella Maris Catholic Church.

At the request of the family, we encourage all who are attending the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial to wear a facial mask.

Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Memorial donations towards the Stella Maris Renovation Fund, Diabetes Association, Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
