Hazel Ruth Coker, age 94, of Canton, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, surrounded by loving family. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m .Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Andrews, Rev. Steven Sheffield, Rev. Mike Ware and Rev. Joey Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16th from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Hazel was the oldest member of North Canton Baptist Church and was a member of the Women of the Moose and the American Legion. She loved spending time with her family and baking cakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Willie Mae Payne; husband, Ralph Coker; grandchildren, Jeffrey Stewart, Michael Blanton and Shawn Mask; son-in-law, Darold Stewart; four sisters and one brother; survivors include her children, Judy Stewart, Randy Coker, Nancy Blanton (Dwight), Jan Yancey (Danny) and Rick Coker (Chris); eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Glenda Cole and Margaret Sewell; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends that she dearly loved. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Stewart, Jason Coker, Dewayne Thomas, Jonathan Coker, Cody Yancey, Wes Mask, Heath Blanton and Chase Blanton; Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Coker, Bradley Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Eric Mathis, Devin Mask and Gavin Stewart.
