Gracie Kayden Prater

     Miss Gracie Kayden Prater, age 16, of Flaherty, KY, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Gracie was a sophomore at Meade County High School where she was an honor student.  Gracie participated in Chorus and the FFA while in school.  She was a dedicated employee of Hardin County Skateland and the Meade County Farmer’s Market.  She was also a young entrepreneur, owning her own business, Soy Wonders.

     Gracie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Danny Eugene Prater, Sr.; her great grandparents, Thurman and Biddy Bostic and John and Louise Morrow; as well as several aunts and uncles.  She is survived by her loving parents, Mike Prater and Gena Bostic Prater; her grandparents, Bobby and Anna Bostic, Linda and Doug Lewis, and Dee Taylor and Tom Reesor; her uncle, Danny Eugene Prater, Jr.; her aunt, Jamie Rae Bostic; and her cousins, Jacob and Christopher Gore.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Radiant Church, with Rev. Dina Hackert officiating.  Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Meade County High School Chorus program.
