Joseph (Joe) Francis Joy born September 24, 1944 aged 77 passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Sunday, May 15th, 2022.

Predeceased by parents Phillip and Monica Joy. His son, Joseph (Jody) Phillip Joy (Joanne and Rian). Brother, Jack Joy.


Leaving to mourn his dedicated wife Molly (Lavina) Joy. Daughters, Ann Marie Joy (John), Tina Joy(Johnny) and Tanya Joy (David). His cherished grandchildren, Erik Joy, Vanessa Joy, Ashley Joy (Daniel), Dylan Joy, Calista whitten, Macy Whitten, Alyssa Joy, Mikayla Joy. His beloved Great granddaughter Adalynn Joy Morris. Step-children Brian (Lisa) and Amanda(Susan) Goldsworthy. Siblings, Theresa Mcguirk, Tom Joy, Hannah Joy, And the countless number of special friends in his life.



A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Placentia Health Care Center for their amazing care and kindness.



Whether you know Joe from getting your haircut at his barber shop on the back path in Freshwater, his contributions to A.A, the NL foster care association, playing his guitar at a cabin party, or from just crossing paths, you know his kind heart and eagerness to help others, never expecting anything in return. We ask you to join us in laying him to rest at Coombs funeral home, visitation Monday, May 16th, 2pm-9pm

A husband, father, pop, great poppy, brother, son, and a great friend to all, forever in our hearts and forever missed, our dear Joe.

In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
