Treva Mae Triplett Johnson, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, April 29, 2022 at UF Health Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Treva was born May 1, 1944 to the late Larnie Triplett and Maxine Carroll Triplett in the Elk Creek Community in Triplett, NC. Treva is preceded in death by her husband Ray Johnson.

She is also preceded in death by four sisters, Mable Triplett, Theresa Triplett, Kathy Triplett Bedsaul, and Lisa Triplett Woodring and one brother, Travis Triplett.

She is survived by one sister, Carrie Triplett Cornette and husband Harold of High Point, NC. and beloved nieces and nephews.

Treva has been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 35 years and retired from Duval County School Board. She had a home in Triplett where she enjoyed spending many summer days catching up with family and friends until her health issues of recent years prohibited her coming.

She had a love for God and family and treasured her dear friends both those in Jacksonville and those in the Boone area. While she was miles apart from family in North Carolina she stayed in contact and prayed daily for them.

The service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church in Triplett, NC, her home church. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Church. Interment will follow at Simmons Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Ephriam Baptist Church, 3275 Elk Creek Road, Deep Gap, NC 28618.
