Obituary

Karen (Kowch) Nerbas passed away peacefully at the home and yard that she loved in the presence of her family on May 13th.

Gifted with a smile that would light up a room, a humble ability to make anyone feel at home, blessed with a non-judgemental countenance; she brought life and joy to all who knew her.

She found her peace in her yard, working in her beloved flower beds and abundant garden; all of which she would share with friends and neighbours.  She gave more than she asked for in return.

Her belief in the Triune God, the wonders of creation and the majesty of the earth was strong and true.  She loved children and had an endearing soft spot for the less fortunate.

Love of family was front and centre for her and it is the wonderful memories we have that has and will sustain us.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Kelvin, children Jolene, Ryan, Jodi and Shelley.  Son-in-laws Rob, Tyler and Derek.  Grandchildren Kaylum, Brodhi, Grace and Cole.

Born into a loving and close-knit family, she carried the values into her life and her family.  She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, three sisters, two brothers, their spouses and many nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to thank all those who blessed Karen with their presence in her life.  Be assured it meant the world to her.

And while we will miss her immensely, we take comfort in the belief that she is now running with the angels in the presence of her Creator.  Bless you, Karen.  Thank you for coming into our lives.  All the best in your new life.

PS:  We promise to close the cupboards, push in our chairs and not slam the doors.

“I ask not what my lot will be

Nor what the price that must by paid,

But only Lord, whate'er be,

That I shall meet it, unafraid."

“And when you look in the sky

on a clear and starry night,

I will be the star that is

shining so bright.”
