Edna Breedwell Pilkey , age 82, of Athens, went home to be with her Lord early Saturday morning, May 14, 2022, while at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

Edna was born in Decatur to the late J.C. and Dollie Millsaps Breedwell and was a longtime resident of Athens. Also preceding her in death is her husband of 45 years, Fred Samuel Pilkey, sister, Ruth Breedwell Stokes, brothers, Robert Dean Breedwell, James Breedwell, and Clint Breedwell along with a grandson, Dusty Pilkey

Edna was currently employed with Comfort Inns of Athens and served as a seamstress for Damy Industries for many years. She was a member of Victory Temple in Lenoir City

Edna is survived by 3 sons:

 Tim Pilkey of Athens

 James Pilkey and wife, Rebecca of Athens

 Rod Pilkey and wife, Cindy of Athens

 

Grandsons:

 T.J. Knox, Joshua Heath Landreth and wife, Annisa

 

Granddaughter:

 Cayla Pilkey

 

Great granddaughter:

 Victoria Landreth

 

Brother: Paul Breedwell of Decatur

 

Along with several nieces and nephews

 

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday. May 17, 2022 at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Martin officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family of Edna Pilkey will receive friends 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Ziegler Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
