<p><span lang="EN-US">With great sadness, we announce our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and sister, Verna Genett Workman, peacefully passed away on May 13, 2022, after a long battle with dementia. She was the second of four children born on July 24, 1944, in Creston, B.C., to Jim and Nellie Rasmussen. She married Gordon Workman in the Cardston Alberta Temple in 1964 and has been happily married for 57 years. Together they raised five children: Shelly Webster, Leanne Gregersen, Russyl (Nikki) Workman, Craig (Allison) Workman, and Darren (Amy) Workman. She has sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers Mark and Jody, and preceded in death&nbsp;by her sister Donna.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">Verna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in multiple capacities, including Relief Society President and a full-time missionary. She will be remembered for her long hugs, work ethic, green thumb, and love for service.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">We will miss her but are comforted to know she is with God.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">On Tuesday, May 17 2022, Friends may meet the family from 10:00am-10:45am. A Funeral Service for Verna will follow at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond, Alberta. Interment will be held at the Temple Hill Cemetery.&nbsp;</span></p>
