Daniel D. Yoder Obituary

Daniel D. Yoder, age 76, of Dover, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care in Westerville, Ohio after a period of declining health.

He was born on June 27, 1945 to the late Daniel B. and Mary (Swartzentruber) Yoder. He married Clara Miller on December 7, 1968. They lived in Wooster for many years. Clara passed away on June 30, 2015.

He was previously employed by the Rexroth Corporation in the Hydraulic Division and was a member of the Wooster Nazarene Church.

He was a member of the Mansfield Club of The Deaf, Canton Silent Club, Ohio School for the Deaf Alumni Association and the Ohio Association of Deaf - Blind of Columbus. Daniel was a fan of the Ohio sports teams which included Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He mostly loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved niece, Marie (David) Hershberger of Dover, Ohio; his sister-in-law and caregiver, Mary (Ronald) White of Dover, Ohio; numerous other nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Fannie (Levi) Erb, Katie (Melvin) Beachy, Ida Yoder, Mary (Eli) Weaver, Ada (Andy) Troyer, Eli (Edna) Yoder, Jack Yoder and Benjamin Yoder. He was also preceded in death by two infant sisters, Edna and Emma.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m.at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster and one hour prior to services (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) at the church on Wednesday.
Services will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Wooster Nazarene Church with Pastor Nathan Ward officiating, Entombment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster.
