Lawrence E. Hatfield, Sr.

<p>Lawrence E. Hatfield, Sr, 83, of Honey Brook, PA, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.</p> <p>Born in Coatesville, Lawrence was the son of the late Warren J. Hatfield and Emma Mae (Purcell) Hatfield.</p> <p>He was a United States Army veteran who served during&nbsp;the Viet Nam Conflict.&nbsp; After being honorably discharged, he became employed at Lukens Steel company working as a Press Operator.</p> <p>Lawrence loved, eating candy, going fishing, watching the television game show Family Feud, and spending time with his grandchildren.&nbsp; He loved a good laugh and could find humor in almost anything.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed listening to the sounds of the Temptations, and Gladys Knight &amp;&nbsp;the Pips, to name a few.&nbsp; Most of all, he really loved his kids as they were always his top priority.</p> <p>Lawrence was preceded in death by two brothers; Charles Hatfield and Warren James &quot;Jimmy&quot; Hatfield.</p> <p>He leaves many cherished memories to his wife, Annie Hatfield; children,&nbsp;Clifford Hatfield of Downingtown, PA, Lawrence E. Hatfield, Jr, and his wife Monica,&nbsp;and Russell Hatfield, both of&nbsp; York, PA, Anthony Hatfield and his wife Arhonda, of Downingtown, PA, Diane Hatfield of Honey Brook, PA, Warren Hatfield of Oxford, PA, and step-daughter Loretta Navarro&nbsp;of Coatesville;&nbsp;18 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p> <p>The family is planning&nbsp;a private gathering&nbsp;at a later date.</p> <p>Condolences may be shared at the guestbook link on this memorial page.</p>
