Jerry Wayne Maevers, 69, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Jackson Manor.
Jerry was born November 9, 1952, to Norman and Linda (Henry) Maevers in Cape Girardeau. He and Patti Copeland were married June 5, 1982, in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of New McKendree Methodist Church in Jackson. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching football. He was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to his loving wife of almost forty years, Jerry is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Seth) Williams of Cape Girardeau, and April (Caden) Gordon of Lee Summit, Missouri; a brother, Ron Maevers of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren, Malachi, Ksenia, Finnian, and Eilish Williams all of Cape Girardeau and Casen Gordon of Lee Summit.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 9:30 until time of service at New McKendree United Methodist Church on High St. in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 11 AM at the church with Rev. Bryan Wendling and Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
