Connie L. Blackburn Obituary

Connie Lenore Blackburn, 67, of Chatham, IL passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 8:00 p.m., at Sunrise Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Virden, IL.  A graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.  Family and friends may meet at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL, at 9:30 a.m., to proceed to the cemetery. James Anderson will officiate.  Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Mrs. Blackburn was born on June 15, 1954, in Litchfield, IL, to the late James and Joyce (Boedecker) McBride.  She was a 1972 Graduate of Litchfield High School in Litchfield, IL and was retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue.  She married Thomas Blackburn on May 18, 1974, in Litchfield, IL and he survives in Chatham, IL.  Mrs. Blackburn loved watching soap operas, going to her boy’s baseball and football games, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Illini basketball and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She had lived in Litchfield, IL; Springfield, IL and then Chatham, IL for the past 46 years.

Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her husband, Thomas Blackburn of Chatham, IL; two sons, Chad M. Blackburn of Chatham, IL and Jordan T. (wife, Michaela) Blackburn of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren, McKinzy M. Blackburn, Bennett W. Blackburn and Sutton D. Blackburn and three siblings, Crystie Matthews, Jamie Bergmann & Russell DeWitt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce (Boedecker) McBride and one brother, Rick A. McBride.
