Marion Halmon Perry Obituary

Marion Halmon Perry, Jr. 80, of Riceville, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Marion Halmon, Sr. and Mary Louiza Bohannon Perry. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Rollin, Edsel and Allen Perry.
He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. He was a Foster Parent for 25 years, and was an ordained Baptist Minister. He was a bus driver for the McMinn County School System for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane Ann Black Perry of Riceville; daughters, Lisha (Dean) Craig of Louisville,TN, Tiffany (Bruce) Jimenez of Athens, Bethany Perry of Riceville, Yasmen Perry and Jasmen Perry of Cleveland; sons, Mark Perry and Andrew Perry of Riceville, Nathan Perry of Waterford, MI, Travis Campbell and Giovanni Perry of Riceville, and Christian Perry of Athens; brothers, William (Bill) Perry of Kodak, and Jerry (Dixie) Perry of Riceville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
