Earl Edward Gardner, of Austin, Texas, left this life peacefully in his sleep on May 13, 2022.


He was born in Aspermont, TX on June 16, 1934, to James Arthur and Mary Magdalene Gardner. He was the second of their three sons. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in October of 1954 and served as a Meteorologist until he retired in October of 1977.


During his time in the military, Earl was stationed at Clark Air Force base in the Philippines. This is where he met the love of his life, Erlinda Abadiano. They were married in the Philippines and settled in Austin, Texas.


He was preceded in death by his parents James Arthur and Mary Magdalene Gardner, his brother James "Jack" Gardner and his wife Erlinda Abadiano Gardner.


Earl is survived by his children Ferdie Abadiano, Fernando Abadiano (Lanie), Melanie Flowers (Rodney) and Valerie Gardner, his grandchildren Ashlie Abadiano, Alora Abadiano, Elizabeth Gardner, Aaron Abadiano (Hailey), Devin Abadiano, Averyl Chester, Sophia Abadiano, Paden Abadiano, Tessa Abadiano, his great grandchildren Rilee, Mackenzie, Valora, Cooper, Presley, Emree, Mason, Bexley his brother German Charles Gardner (Louise) and a host of nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held at the Harrell Funeral Home located at 4435 Frontier Trail Austin, Texas 78745 on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located at 11463 State Hwy 195 Killeen, Texas 76542.
