In Loving Memory<br>Of <br>Barett Colby Damron<br>January 3, 2005 ~ May 13, 2022<br><br>Barett Colby Damron, 17 of Angleton, Texas passed away peacefully into the arms of his Jesus. Barett was born in Houston, Texas on January 3, 2005 to his loving parents Duke and Kimberly (Johnson) Damron. <br><br>Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Angleton Church of Christ located at 1100 East Wilkins Street Angleton, Texas 77515 with Doug Raymer officiating. <br><br>Barett lived life to the fullest in his 17 years of life. He enjoyed playing Power Wheelchair Soccer as #13 with his team the “Houston Fireballs.” He was active in Boy Scouts and needed just 1 more interview to complete his Eagle Scout rank. Barett loved to play online games with his friends, and he also enjoyed hunting. He loved to try new exotic foods. He and his dad, Duke, were always travelling to Houston to try new restaurants that Barett found. Some of his favorites included Wagyu beef and sushi, but his all-time favorite was La Casona. Barett supported his military and had a devout love for the United States Navy and military dogs. His dream was to join the military and he wrote the President letters on many occasions to request more options for disabled service in the military. He was active with 4-H, raising rabbits, heifers and broilers for the fair. In 2019 he won Grand Champion at the Brazoria County Fair for his broilers. Barett was very involved in his church, Angleton Road Church of Christ. Barett was a devout Christian and truly lived his life through Christ every day. Barett was in the 11th grade at Angleton Christian School and enjoyed his time with his friends. <br><br>Left to cherish Barett’s memories are his parents: Duke & Kimberly (Johnson) Damron, his sisters: Katie and Kyndall Damron, and his grandmothers: Frances Johnson and Deena Damron.<br><br>Barett was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Dee Damron and David Johnson.<br><br>In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the charity that was started in Barett’s honor, Southern Outdoor Dreams at www.SouthernOutdoorDreams.org.<br><br>Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmsfuneralhome.com for the family of Barett Colby Damron. <br><br>Arrangements lovingly fulfilled by Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515 (979) 849-4343.<br>

I remember Barett's expertise as a BBQ judge several years ago at the Dow Turnaround Team BBQ cook off, and reading his energy in the obituary is such an inspiration. Margie and I are praying for you!
