Kathy Miller Shondelmyer, 72, of Conover, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 15, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Herbert Miller and Ailene Gilbert Frye. Kathy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. She loved music, arranging flowers, and her dogs, Petey and Ivey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Shondelmyer; sister, Teresa Miller; and granddaughter, Amber Nolen. Those left to cherish her memory are; Husband of 40 years: Ron Shondelmyer of the home Sons: Timothy Nolen of Lincolnton Michael Nolen and wife Candy of Conover Daughter: Tammy Brigham and husband Rick of Conover Brother: Kenneth Miller and wife Mary Lynn of Lenoir Grandchildren: Charity Phillips, Josh Shondelmyer, Kasie DeHart, Sarah Buff, Cindy Buff, Thomas Fint, Michael Nolen Jr., and Skyler Fox Great-Grandchildren: Karale Potter, Jacob Potter, Ryan Buff, Elizabeth Brigham, Russel Hedrick, Kaitlyn Lail, Charlie Curtis, Dennis Curtis, Tatum Fint, Brantley Nolen and Aubrey Powell A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church Northside in Hickory. Rev. Mike Faircloth will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Christ Church Northside.
