Vera Gladys Mann

     1940-2022

Mrs. Vera Gladys Mann, the wife of the late Donald Mann of Miramichi, NB, passed away at Shannex-Bridgeview Hall, Miramichi, NB, on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the age of 81.

Born in Newcastle, on December 28, 1940, she was the daughter of both the late Everett and Gladys (Trevors) Trevors of Douglasfield.

She was a Homemaker and a Retired Teacher after 37 years of teaching.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, as well as a former Sunday School Teacher, Lay Reader, member of the ACW, Altar Guild, and a former member of the Prayer Ministry Team.  Vera was a wonderful mother and was kind, gentle, and caring to all those she met.  She was also artistic, created beautiful paintings, and would generously share that gift with others.

Mrs. Vera Mann is survived by her son, David Mann of Miramichi, sister-in-law Jane Trevors of Douglasfield, NB, and two nephews:  Scott Trevors (Mary) of Rusagonis, NB, and Mark Trevors of Douglasfield, NB. 

Besides both of her parents and husband Donald, she is predeceased by her brother, Wayne Trevors.  

A private visitation and private funeral service occured at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 207 Wellington St., Miramichi, NB, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  The funeral service was conducted by The Reverend Perry Cooper, The Reverend David Allan, The Revered Canon Sandy MacPherson, and The Reverend Deacon Eddie Quann.  Music for the service was provided by Organist Janet Stothart, accompanied by choir members. The hymns were:  "Morning Has Broken", "The Lord's My Shepherd", and "All Things Bright and Beautiful".  A special solo "Be Not Afraid" was sung by Al Fraser.  Memories were shared from the Class of "58, represented by Francis Blakely, and Leon Bremner.  The Active Pallbearers were:  Mark Trevors, Scott Trevors, Fred Trevors, Ed Warren, Al Fraser, and Blair LeBreton.  Interment occurred in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Miramichi, NB. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
