Morgaine Charles Hogan Obituary

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Morgaine Charles Hogan, a beloved mother, aunt, sister and grandmother. Morgaine entered her eternal resting place on May 10th, 2022. She was 73 years old.

Morgaine is survived by her soulmate and husband Jean-Paul Hogan. She met the love of her life and was married 12 days later, they celebrated 45 years in 2022. She loved immensely and her family is heartbroken. She was a cherished mother to Nicole (Bob) Whitcher of Wallingford, Kristopher (Carol) Hogan of Oxford, Ericka (Joe) Kundrath of North Branford. She was also a treasured grandmother, known as Meme, to her three grandchildren Amanda Whitcher, Brianna and Nathan Kundrath.

Morgaine was born on January 8th, 1949, daughter of the late Wilber and Shirley Shumway.  In addition to her parents, Morgaine grew up with three brothers William (Irene), Clifford (Jerry) and was predeceased by Charles Shumway. A man she honored with her middle name. Morgaine has many nieces, nephews and cousins that were loved.

Among her loves of family and friends she loved to walk the beach. She walked almost daily remarkably passing the youths that were jogging along. She was an extraordinary woman that will be truly missed for years to come.

Please join us celebrating her life on Friday May, 20th from 4-6pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  A memorial service will follow at 6pm.  Interment will be private.
