Betty Lou “Peggy” Boyles Cooke, age 94, of Pfafftown, passed away on May 13th, 2022, at her home.
She was born on October 16, 1927 in Surry County, to the late Cuthbert H. Boyles and Lena Matthews Boyles.
Mrs. Cooke spent her final working years in retail and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pilot Mountain
She is survived by her daughter, Tommye Cooke and son, Steve Cooke (Debbie); grandchildren Michael Cooke, William Simmons Jr., Rebecca Simmons; and great grandchildren, William, Nichole, and Chase.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by her Husband, William B. Cooke, Sr.; a son, William B. Cooke, Jr.; and sisters, Mozelle Tobin, Bernice Paul, and Frances H. Boyles.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, May 15th, 2022, Pilot Mountain City Cemetery at 2pm with Rev. Andy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service.
