Margaret Ruth Lytz

<p><strong>Margaret Ruth Lytz</strong>, 70, passed away May 11, 2022, after fighting courageously through a long illness.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Evelyn Wilson; her father-in-law, Hubert Lytz; brother, Jimmy Wilson; and her daughter, Sarah Bertsch. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael; mother-in-law, Barbara Lytz; brother-in-law, Ken (Elise) Lytz; stepdaughter, Elisa (Jon) Pierson; nieces and nephews; her Scottish cousins; and many good friends.</p> <p>Margaret graduated from Copley High School, and then the University of Akron School of Nursing where she earned her RN degree. She was a dedicated nurse. Her career included work at Akron General, Barberton Citizens, and Summa (Akron City) where she made many close friendships that have lasted her lifetime.</p> <p>In 1992 Margaret married her best friend Mike, and 10 years later toward the end of her 34-year nursing career, together they founded and built Sarah&rsquo;s Vineyard and Winery in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She was a great cook, a lover of art, and the creative force behind the kitchen and gallery. &nbsp;Most recently she established the NorthFork Art Gallery in Bath.</p> <p>Margaret touched the lives of many, she could say so much with just a look. She was honest and tough, yet kind and generous to a fault. Many close to her say that she helped make them a better person. She is loved and will be missed.</p> <p>A special thank you to the Cleveland Clinic G53 SICU team who held a special ceremony to &ldquo;Pin&rdquo; her as one of their own. &nbsp;And to Jim Emanuel for giving her a fighting chance.</p> <p>Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with the funeral service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at Northampton Cemetery,1014 W.
