Garry John Rhoads, Sr., age 75, of Canton passed away Wednesday May 11, 2022. He was born January 15, 1947 to his parents, the late, Herbert and Elizabeth Rhoads. He was a graduate of Glenwood High School and retired from Republic Steel. He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles attending both Massillon and North Canton locations and VFW Post 3747. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Rhoads and his long time companion, Deborah Potts. Survivors include sons, Garry John Rhoads, Jr. and his wife, Renita, and Keith Rhoads; daughter, Nicole Rhoads-Woodrum; seven grandchildren, Garry John III, Christie Allyn, Christopher Robinson, Ana, Emory, and Alan; three great grandchildren; his siblings, Brenda Lambert, Nancy Lint, Dave Rhoads, Janet Gould, Mark Rhoads, Danny Rhoads, Sue Zantopulous, Jeff Rhoads, Dixon Rhoads, Mason Rhoads, and Diann Quinlan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Calling hours will be Wednesday May 18, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel followed with a funeral service beginning at 7pm.
