Born on November 7, 1958, Tammy grew up one of four siblings. She was always the quieter one and loved painting and drawing. She was quite the artist in high school; she even painted the Wildcat mascot on the gym floor of Hobbton High School. She graduated from Hobbton, and then from Campbell University with a degree in sociology. She loved the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball and football teams and the Carolina Panthers football team. Tammy also loved music, movies, and television. She had seen more movies and shows on Netflix than anyone, and could tell you about the actors/actresses who were in them all. She especially love Elton John, The Eagles, and Queen. For several years, Tammy worked for Johnston - Lee - Harnett Community Action in Smithfield where she was the teacher for the 3 year old class.

Tammy was the most wonderful mother to her "boys" as she called them. She lived for Alex and Brad, always wanting to make sure they had what they needed. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, burning the roads up on Saturday with her sister and niece, and relaxing with family and friends at Bushy Swamp. Known for her patience and kind, compassionate heart, she leaves behind a legacy of perseverance and love. She was a warrior and a fighter. When times were tough, she never gave up. She persevered and knew that faith would see her through.
