Peggy L. Anacker Obituary

Peggy Knight Anacker passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022 surrounded by family. Peggy was born to the late Owsley and Frances Devine Knight on July 13, 1941 in Scottsville, Kentucky. Peggy married her best friend on June 19, 1958, celebrating 64 years of marriage in June. Peggy devoted her life to being a wife and mother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Peggy was so loved by all who knew her. She was a dedicated member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Peggy is survived by her loving husband Bob; children Cindy Hood, Scott Anacker, Jenny (Lynn) Norman; grandchildren Jenna and Jessica Anacker, Darcie, Malanie, Kathleen, and Robert J Storey, Johnathon and Justin Norman, Kaitlynn Denton; sister Marcie (Bill deceased) Carter; brother-in-law and wife Larry and Wilma Anacker, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Carol Ragsdale; brothers Maxie, Jackie, and Dannie Knight; sister-in-law Sandra (Anacker) Angel; grandsons Anthony Cecil and Alek Hood. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4-8 pm and Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11-1pm followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home at 5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN. Burial will be immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Peggy’s honor to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611 or Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 269 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339.
