THOMASINE KELLY Obituary

Thomasine Kelly, passed away at Akron City Hospital from a lengthy illness on May 12, 2022.  Born May 20, 1943, in Akron, OH, the daughter of Joseph and Fannie May Neuby.  She was called by the Lord at a young age and was Baptized at Antioch Baptist Church.  She graduated from South High School and later attended The University of Akron.  She retired from Goodyear as a Computer Operator after 33 years of service.  Growing up she enjoyed roller skating, dancing and hanging out with her childhood friends Karen and Marsha.  Thomasine was a member of The Akron Adventures Kamping Club, Joyful Seniors and The Ed Davis Center.  She was a devoted member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she sang in the choir until she became ill.  Thomasine enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing cards and listening to smooth jazz music. Thomasine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Fannie and husband James Kelly (J.T.).  She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Eric Kelly of Akron, OH; stepsons, Gerald (Elois) of Lithonia, GA. and Glem (Maudester) of Atlanta, GA and sister Joan Dudley of Akron, OH; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Funeral service will be held on Thursday May 26, 2022, at 12:00PM at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306 where family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of service.  Pastor Robert Evans, Eulogizing.  Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 643 Hickory St.  Akron, Ohio 44303.
