Dolores Julia Del Chiaro Locatelli

Dolores Julia Del Chiaro Locatelli was born on February 19, 1930 in Santa Cruz at the old Santa Cruz Hospital. She lived in Swanton, CA until she was four years old and then moved to New Town near Davenport. She moved to Davenport Landing across from the ocean and then to Santa Cruz, CA.<br><br>Dolores attended Laurel School, Mission Hill Jr. High School, and Santa Cruz High School graduating in 1947 as a Commercial Honor Student. She worked for an insurance agency, C.E. Canfield and Son, from 1946 until 1955 when she married Adolph Locatelli and then stayed home!<br><br>Dolores loved music, nature, and flowers. She enjoyed reading and did a lot of bookkeeping, following her very ambitious husband.<br><br>Dolores had a foster child for some time and they always kept in touch. Dolores helped in raising her grandchildren and loved every minute of it!<br><br>Dolores is preceded in death by her father, Lisandro Del Chiaro and mother, Effie Del Chiaro; husband, Adolph Locatelli in 1988; daughter, Yvonne Monti; and grandson, Andrew Wilson.<br><br>She is survived by her son, James and his wife Hollie Locatelli; son Michael Locatelli; grandson Colin (Veronica) Wilson; granddaughters Anastacia Makris, Emily Locatelli, and Macy Locatelli; great grandchildren Effie and Arthur Wilson; brother Marvin (Elaine) Del Chiaro; and numerous nieces and nephews.<br><br>Visitation will be held at Benito &amp; Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Thursday, May 19th from 2pm-6pm with a Vigil Service at 6pm. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 20th at 11am at the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
