Peggy Jean Ellis Taylor, age 79, formerly of Oak Island, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Atrium Health Kings Mountain.  She was born March 20, 1943 in Lincoln County to the late William Theodore “W.T.” Ellis and Sally Edna Mull Ellis. Peggy enjoyed crafting and had a passion for traveling.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will truly be missed.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Jones; brother, Harold Ellis; and sister, Shirley Walls.

 

Survivors include her husband, David Taylor; daughter, Pamela Jones and husband, James; son, Bryan Taylor; brother, David Ellis and wife, Barbara; sister, Joyce White; granddaughter, Crystal Jones; great grandchildren, Stacee and Jacob Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating.  Burial will be private.
