Shirley Deane Wilson

Shirley Holland Wilson, 86, of Athens, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Athens Place of Athens.<br>She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Demie Rogers Holland. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Wilson, and a sister Marilyn Holland Bryson.<br>She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. She was associated with Athens Products until her retirement.<br>She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jerry Elkins of Port St. Joe, FL and Cheryl and Scott Roberts of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dianne Wilson of Athens; grandchildren, Joseph (Felicia) Elkins, Holly (Mitchell) Hollis, Stephanie Hale, and Samantha Roberts; great grandchildren, Lane and Landon Hollis, Langston and Lilyana Elkins, Ella Wilson and Tyler Hale; sister, Loretta Whitted and brother, Tommy Holland. <br>A graveside service will be conducted, 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Idlewild Cemetery with the Hearth Hospice Chaplain officiating. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2022.<br>Pallbearers will be family and friends.<br>The family of Shirley Holland Wilson would like to thank our family and friends, The Staff and Care Teams of Morning Pointe, Athens Place, and Hearth Hospice for providing support and care. We would also like to thank the Staff of Smith Funeral & Cremation Services for their kindness during this time.<br>The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Idlewild Cemetery Fund, c/o Doug Dake, 1282 Hwy 30 West, Athens, TN 37303 or McMinn Regional Humane Society, 219 Alford Street, Athens, TN 37303. <br>
