Harry Louis Babcock passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born on November 26, 1946, to George and Marie Babcock in Ozone Park, NY. Harry met his wife Janice at the University of Miami. They married in 1968 and settled in Eastern Long Island where they started their family. Harry had an unwavering faith in God, and his faith only grew stronger in his final years of life. He converted to Catholicism and was baptized at the age of 36 in front of his wife and young children. Harry was retired from a career as a contractor. As a younger man, he was known for his exemplary golf skills and enjoyed playing at Southampton Golf Club where he was a long-time member. Many people remember his sense of humor and uncanny ability to engage any stranger in conversation. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Babcock, and three children, Heather McGinley, Catherine Cooper, and Timothy Babcock, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Thomas and Hannah McGinley and his sister, Patricia Miller. Harry was predeceased by his parents, George and Marie Babcock and his brother, George. At his request, Harry will be cremated, and a mass of Christian burial held in his name at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in East Patchogue, NY on Monday May 16th at 10am.
