<div style="font-size:12pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">Clora Elouise (Peggy) Stewart King, 90, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born August 23, 1931 to John and Leeola Stewart. </p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">She is preceded in death by her sister, Gerrie Cowan; her brother, Harold Stewart; her daughter, Linda Anita; son, James T. (Buddy) and grandson, Jeremy King.</p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Charles Eugene King, Jr. of Pensacola; sons, Johnathan (Johnny) and Linda; Mark and Janice; and Jeff; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. &nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">Some of the highlights of her rich nine decades are as follows, she enrolled in the first class of Pensacola Junior College on a scholarship where she met Charles King. A year later they married and soon started their family of five children. </p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">Peggy achieved her goal of a college degree at the age of 60 receiving her degree of Bachelor of Applied Science, Magna Cum Laude in 1992. &nbsp;She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi International. She worked for the Department of Defense for 27 years retiring in 1993. She was listed in the 1993/94 Who’s Who Registry of Global Business Leaders. </p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">Besides her love of family, Peggy enjoyed her collectable dolls, an expansive personal library, travel and cocker spaniels. </p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;">The family would like to acknowledge the amazing nursing staff at Sacred Heart Hospital. </p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;color:#3C3C3C;margin:0;"><span style="color:#000000;">In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org)</span>.</p><p style="text-align:justify;color:#3C3C3C;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><span style="color:#3C3C3C;">A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 with visitation from 10:00-11:00am and service at 11:00am at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel, 4777 West Spencer Field Road, Pace, Florida 32571. &nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;margin:0;"><br></p></div>

Obituary

Clora Elouise (Peggy) Stewart King, 90, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born August 23, 1931 to John and Leeola Stewart.


She is preceded in death by her sister, Gerrie Cowan; her brother, Harold Stewart; her daughter, Linda Anita; son, James T. (Buddy) and grandson, Jeremy King.


She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Charles Eugene King, Jr. of Pensacola; sons, Johnathan (Johnny) and Linda; Mark and Janice; and Jeff; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
