Cynthia "Cindy" Derwacter

Cynthia "Cindy" Derwacter, 67, of Canton, Ohio passed away on May 11th, 2022. She was born on July 26th, 1954 to the late Robert and Donna Mae Ebey (Klingaman). Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, grandmother; Alice "Little Mom" Klingaman, and sister; Candy S. Karl. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John Derwacter, son; Donnie Mitchell, daughter; Jennifer (Chip) Carroll, stepson; John Derwacter, Jr., stepdaughters; Joy (Chad) Wilson and Jennifer (Larry Patrick) Rumbaugh, sisters; Bobbi Jo Blind and Jeanne (Bill) Fisher, brother; Robbie (Amy) Ebey, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews she was close to. Her absolute pride and joy in life was her family. Cindy was known as the Matriarch and always put family first. She spent 61 years camping at Atwood Lake, where she and John had a camper, and the two loved being outdoors. Many will remember Cindy as the "Jell-O Shot Lady." She would have wanted all those she loved to not shed any tears but always remember the good times shared and memories made throughout her years. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Calling Hours will be held in honor of Cindy at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel on Wednesday, May 18th from 1PM to 4PM with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 4pm. The service will be officiated by Chaplain Amy Downard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Cindy to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
