Dan Garner, 85 of Hernando Beach passed away on May 13, 2022. He was born in Lepanto Arkansas but moved permanently to Hernando Beach, Florida in 1972 with his wife Peggy. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Peggy, daughter Julie and her husband John in Batesville Arkansas, and his son Daniel Garner. Dan is survived by his brother Don Garner in Earl, Arkansas. He has 4 grandchildren, Kipp Platt and his wife Amy Platt, Ashley Kennemer and her husband Brandon Kennemer, Hunter Platt and his wife Stephanie Platt and Dustin Garner and his wife Marie Garner. Dan is survived by 8 great grandchildren, Easton Platt, Aubrey Platt, Caden Platt, Lillian Kennemer, Lincoln Kennemer, Kenzie Platt, Zoey Garner and Lexie Garner. Dan was a retired owner and operator of a carpet store but when he moved to Florida he pursued a stone crabbing hobby which he then acquired his boat Captain license. He enjoyed stone crabbing, fishing, hunting but his best loved hobby was playing with and teaching his grandchildren. To Dan, his family was everything to him! He was Christian by faith and he will be missed dearly here on Earth.
