Lea Harriet Oxman Obituary

Lea Harriet Hurwitz Oxman died peacefully May 11th, 2022. Lea was the daughter of the late Alexander and Rebecca (Pelish) Hurwitz. She grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. After graduating from the University of California, Berkely, she moved to Denver, where she met her husband, Albert Charles Oxman, who died in 2000. She celebrated her 100th birthday April 21st. She kept her wonderful sense of humor and easy-going disposition to the end. She will be missed by her three sons – Jon of Cambridge, MA, Andy (Trine Prescott) of Oslo, Norway, and Tom (Judy Heldman) of Hanover, NH; her seven grandchildren – Elliot, Bobby, Annaleah, Xander, Zach, Matt, and Sarah; and her four great grandchildren – Oslo, Mars, Nathan, and Emma Rose. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Denver Hospice at www.thedenverhospice.org/giveback or to a charity of one’s choice. According to her wishes, there will be a celebration of her life at her home on Sunday, May 15th from 1 pm to 4 pm. Messages of sympathy for the family may be left here.
