Helen A. Esposito, 94, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Bethany Gardens Nursing Home.
Helen was born in Rome, on January 15, 1928, a daughter of the late Angelo and Beatrice (Lamandola) Coccia. She attended the Academy of the Holy Name and graduated in 1947. Helen shared a loving union of 43 years with her husband Samuel P. Esposito. He predeceased Helen on August 20, 1992. She was a loving mother and grandmother. For many years Helen served as Den Mother and Troop Leader for the Cub Scouts.

Helen is survived by her cherished sons and their wives, Samuel J. and Rachel Esposito, Robert J. and Louise Esposito, all of Rome; grandchildren, Samuel (Heather), Ashley, Olivia; great grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph; Greyson Uhl. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Josephine Coccia, Justina and Nat Cesari, Angela and Michael DiMeo, Marie and Salvatore Rotolo.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Terrace at Woodland and Bethany Garden Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided to their mother during her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 1 P.M. at St John’s the Baptist Church of Rome. There are no calling hours and Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery is private.
