Joyce Marlene Vaught, age 86, passed away with family by her side, Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Loving mother to William C. Vaught, Jr. (Lisa) and Suzanne Marlene Gaskins. Adoring and dedicated grandmother to Jessica, Thomas, and Zachary Vaught. Dear sister to the late Harry Brown (Ann), Mason Brown (Lydia), the late Keith Brown, Linda Brown, and Mona Christine Chotena (Tom). Sweet aunt to the late Tracey Brown, Lisa Brown, CJ Brown, Keith Brown Jr., Penelope Shevenell, Lori Schnick, Sarah Tice, Bayley Chotena, and Chelsea Shelton.

Born in Whiteford, Maryland, graduated North Harford High School in 1954 where she was very athletic and popular. Joyce later relocated to the Cincinnati, Ohio area in 1970. Longtime member of Cherry Grove United Methodist Church. Joyce made a career in the Treasury Department of U. S. Shoe and its affiliates Lense Crafters and Luxotica. She was a very active and athletic person her whole life. She loved all sports but bowling and golf were her favorites. 

Joyce retired to dedicate her time and undivided attention to her three grandchildren. She never missed a school, music, church, or sporting event for them. They were her light and her joy. She will be greatly missed everyday hereafter. 

Visitation Saturday, May 14, 2022, 9:00 am-11:00 am, Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd 45236, with Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
