Dolores E. Reda Obituary

Our beloved mother, Dolores Reda (nee Smigo)  83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 10, 2022.  She was born on March 31,1939 in Minersville, PA to the late George and Sophie Glinka Smigo.

She was a devoted member of St. Anne's Church and The St. Anne's Guild. She was a telephone operator for a number of organizations in the neighborhood, including St. Mary's Hospital.   Dolores was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Girls High School Class of 1958. 

 She is survived by her children, Maryann Geist (Don), Frank Reda (the late Annette), George Reda ( the late Cheryl), Cindy Freiling ( Bob) and JP.  Also survived by her loving sister Charlotte Craven, late George "Turk " Smigo and late Thomas Glinka. 

Devoted grandmother to Bill, Jaime, Steven, Brian, Patrick, Michelle, Jacqueline, Bobby, Kaitlyn and Victoria. She was adored by her great grandchildren Brayden, Jaxon, Lillie, Riley, AJ and Max as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend Betty Omietanski.   

Family and friends and members of the Guild are invited to her Funeral Mass Monday, May 16, 2022 , at 10:30 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church, where her viewing will begin at 9:00 AM.   She will be laid to rest with her late husband Francis M. Reda at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorial donations in her honor to St. Anne's Guild. 2328 East Lehigh Avenue Phila, PA . 19125
