Patricia "Pattie" Ann Seitz Obituary

Patricia died at the age of 68 with family present to see her off. Pattie was born in New York City on August 15, 1953, to Frank and Doreen Seitz. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Roger Dosemagen in Racine, Wi on January 3, 1981. She was raised and educated in Menomonee Falls, Wi graduating from Menomonee Falls East High School ‘Class of 71’. Pattie attended UW Madison and other UW schools, as well as Gateway, pursuing a variety of educational experiences. She became a respected Insurance Industry Professional for 31 years, last working at Johnson Insurance as Vice President of Corporate Insurance Risk Management for Johnson Financial Group until taking a medical retirement in 2003. In May 1992 she earned the insurance industry’s highest professional designation of a CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter). Pattie loved the legal and technical aspects of the world of insurance. More than anything Pattie believed that life was not a spectator sport. Through the years she did outdoor rock climbing, solo whitewater canoeing, hiking, biking, trips to the Boundary Waters, competitive swimming as a kid, triathlons, running, coed and women’s volleyball and softball…anything outdoors. She also enjoyed reading, flower gardening and photography. With her recent discovery of a camera in her Smartphone, she became a keen observer of the wonderful world all around us in nature thru photos. She also produced hundreds of narrated videos, mostly of her dogs, much to her family’s dismay. She loved everything about dogs, and they were in her life always. There have been 8 dogs sharing her family’s life over the years and she loved each one. Riley will truly miss her. Beloved wife of 41 years of Roger Dosemagen. Proudest Mother-of-the-Heart to Kari Tewalt of Broomfield, CO and Devon (Kevin) Griggs of Oak Lawn, Il. Also survived by amazing grandchildren Adison, Miela, Tyler, Emily, and Ethan, sister-in-law Mary Jo Spreeberg (William), sister Vickie McRoberts (Rick Wagner), brother Mark Seitz (Huma Siddiqui-Seitz) and niece and nephews. Pattie will be missed by her good friends. Gone before her are parents, beloved brother Jeffrey, and her friend and mother-in-law Jeanne Dosemagen. A Memorial Visitation for Pattie will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Very special Thank You to Dr. James Maloney for his efforts to get Pattie on the transplant list, Dr. Robert Love for getting her through the unexpectedly difficult surgery, Dr. Richard Cornwell and Kelly Radford RN for keeping the extra years of life good. And Dr. David Nichols, for getting her to think. Forever grateful to Joanne Watson and her family for the awesome gift of the donation of her heart and lungs on August 3, 2004…17 years and 9 months and 4 days ago.
