<p>Loretta M. Proffitt, age 88, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully, in her home, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born February 25, 1934 in Stone Creek, OH to the late Harry and Wilma King. She was a former employee of Nationwide Insurance in Columbus. Loretta was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, UMW and the Louisville Community Choir.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, George Proffitt; a sister, Charlene King and a grandson, Darin Daniels. Loretta is survived by two daughters, Diane (Richard) Daniels, Lori Proffitt; two sons, Jeffrey (Denise) Proffitt, Kevin Proffitt; a sister, Marian Stertzbach; three brothers, Wayne (Carol), Merle (Shirley) and David King; two grandchildren, Daphne (Long Vu Ho) Daniels, Christopher Daniels; a great-grandson, Leo Daniels and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Funeral services will be 12noon Wednesday, May 18 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Christy Suffecool officiating. Calling hours will be 11am &ndash; 12noon Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Loretta will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton, OH.
