John J. Winslow

John J. Winslow, age 73, a 26 year resident of the Dryden. Michigan area, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at McLaren Regional Hospital in Lapeer, Michigan. John was born July 22, 1948 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Donald and Virginia (Haumann) Winslow. He married the former Lois Schilling at their home in Dryden on August 10, 1997. John worked for the City of Detroit as a Police officer for many years. After retirement from the Detroit Police Department, John sold real estate with his company “Brokers Network” for many years. John served his country proud by serving as a paratrooper during the Vietnam War. Upon moving to the Romeo area, John joined the Striber-McVicar Post # 2052 where over the years he served as its Commander, Quartermaster, and Chaplain. His hobbies include camping, fly fishing with his self made flies, and hunting. John is survived by his wife Lois and her children: James Behlke & Paula (Kevin) Moulton along with grandchildren Tessa & Finnegen. Also survived by siblings: Ralph (Biddie) and Kathy (Tony) Bernett. Services are pending at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes Veteran Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. J.
