Robert Joseph Schuttenberg Obituary

Robert Joseph Schuttenberg, 75 passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022 at 1:41pm. He was born in the Bronx, New York. Bob is one of two sons of Grace and August Schuttenberg. He graduated from Alexander Hamilton Highschool in 1965. He was a Painting and Wallpapering Contractor. Bob is married to his wife, Corazon Domingo for 40 years.

 

Bobby was a lifetime Elmsfordian. He is known to his friends as "Stretch". Bobby enjoyed his life "Back in the Day", in the 60's and 70's, He was known for his generosity and fast cars. He had lots of friends and spent lots of time on his boat on Candlewood Lake. Those days were wild and fun especially with "Elmsford Gin". Yes, Farfalla's Liquor Store sold it. While running out of Tonic Water, the Gin was mixed with Lake water. Bobby's friends Bruce, Rex, Bronco, Chuckie, Brian Fennell, Steph, Tommy Garafano are up in the balcony waiting for his arrival with cold Budweiser and as always laughing it up.

 

Bobby enjoyed reading and enjoyed international and domestic traveling with his wife and sometimes took his nephews Patrick and Douglas with them. He loved to take his nieces and nephews to Great Adventure in the summertime and in the winter, skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Bobby was a very good and loving husband and uncle. He is kind, a generous soul and above all a good "Chef".

 

He is survived by his wife, Corazon, his brother Raymond and his sister-in-law Maria Schuttenberg and nephew Raymond Jr. and niece Susan and his grandniece and nephews; his sister-in-law, Pilar D. Teahan, brother-in-law Ernesto and his wife Doris Domingo, Luis and his wife Caridad Domingo, his nephews Patrick Domingo and his wife Soo Jin Yoo, Douglas, Joemarie Domingo and niece Reena and husband Al Cervantes, grand nephews Ethan, Jake, Raphael and grand niece, Elise Domingo.

 

Bob is loved by his wife, family and friends and is comforted by the truth that one day they will be reunited again in heaven. I love you very much Bobby. I will miss you terribly.
