<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">With sadness I report the passing of my mother, Betty Harkins, on Tuesday May 10th, 2022.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She lead a rich, full life, with many friends, and a vast loving extended family.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She leaves behind myself Lance, my two brothers, Sean and Daniel, and her grandson Jacob.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She also leaves behind the legacy of a more environmentally educated people. She dedicated many years of her life to this cause. For her and her many friends you can be thankful for a cleaner Hudson River, many parks and festivals along that river, and a world more educated towards sustaining itself.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">In lieu of flowers please just take the extra effort to recycle when you can. Betty was always a welcoming presence at the Beacon Sloop Club events. Be it festivals, work sessions or meetings, she was there with a smile and a welcome word.
