Robert O. Taylor
<p><br /> Robert O. Taylor, 85, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at MHP Medical Center. Born December 23, 1936 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Orville Taylor and Teresa (Feuerstine) Taylor. He married Nina C. (Holbrook) Taylor on September 5, 1959 and she preceded him on October 4, 2020.</p> <p>Survivors include son Charlie Taylor (Randee) of Shelbyville; brother Meredith Taylor (Sharon) of Lexington, Indiana; 3 grandchildren- Gregory Taylor (Katie), Lauren Ebersold (Dakota), & Kristen Taylor; and 1 great-grandchild Lea. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, brother Donnie Taylor and sister Gwendolyn Howe.</p> <p>Mr. Taylor had lived in this area most of his lifetime but grew up in Hayden, Indiana. He graduated from Hayden High School in 1955 and was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church, and in previous years he had been a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher for several years. Robert was a purchasing agent for Rexham Corp. in Edinburgh, and worked in sales for Tasco & Taylor Service for several years. He was a 4H leader for several years, and was a US Army veteran. Bob enjoyed riding horses, including trail riding, watching sports on TV, meeting his friends at the Farmhouse Diner, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.</p> <p>Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Monday, May 16, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Eric Denney officiating. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. A graveside military honors will be conducted by the American Legion.</p> <p>Memorial contributions can be made to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana in care of the funeral home.<br /> </p>December 23, 1936 - May 10, 202212/23/193605/10/2022
